Despite Groundhog Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction, it doesn't seem like the weather in Philadelphia has decided whether or not spring is here. So whether this weekend brings more snow or another 70-degree day of sunshine, there is still plenty of time to feel spring fever (or allergies). Step out and get your seasons on when you attend the whimsical world of Philadelphia’s 188th Flower show.

The Philadelphia Horticultural Society's Philadelphia Flower Show gardens, floral art, and landscapes will feature the encompassing theme Holland: Flowering the World. Floral topics will showcase the region’s top floral designers, horticulturists, and award winning landscape designers from the Netherlands. A guaranteed beloved blockbuster every year, this year's show will broadcast Dutch treasures such as wooden shoes, windmills, and delectable cuisines that canopy the show through a mix of innovative eco-friendly design and urban greenery.

The event historically is the oldest and largest indoor show of its kind and continues to draw hundreds of people into center city Philadelphia for its festivities. Guests can expect exciting innovations this year such as a look into the Dutch futuristic eco-dome and mosaic-crafted gardens.  And for the horticultural learners in us all, artistic workshops provide the education viewers need to dive deeper into the theories of design that back the displays that fill the show. Early morning tours and teddy bear tea are also great for group tours.

Don’t forget about the garden spa – making it debut this year and composed of relaxation stations, you’ll simmer into essential oils and massages for just $20 a person (did we mention it comes with chocolate and champagne?)

Finally, Butterflies Live! makes an excellent final destination activity for the day. Immerse yourself into a world of over 1,000 butterflies through an exhibition that features domestic and exotic butterfly species to help encourage pollination. See more details about events within the showhere
