For the die-hard vintage lovers
For those of us shopping vintage since the 80s, it sounds weird to call the 90s vintage, but the time has come. The shops below have a focus that spans 30s to the early 2000s. It’s all vintage, and we’re here for it.
Lost and Found Vintage, pop-ups around Philly | An old-school fav of Philly Home Girls. Once a beloved brick and mortar store, they now focus on vintage pop-ups. Shop shoes, accessories, and racks of clothes packed with style. You can catch them in the Vintage Design Market held in the Crane Building on the regs.
Dames Vintage Emporium, 804 N 2nd St | A highly curated shop. The owner repairs many of the pieces before they hit the floor, so you’re getting a pristine look to take home. Expect to be helped, and you won’t regret it. She often has some bridal stock too!
Retro Rewind Vintage, 2804 W Girard Ave | A true favorite. For those looking for that killer vintage coat, perfect summer dress, or 80’s business suit, you’ll have zero problem landing it here. They’ll even style you to ease that feeling of being overwhelmed and to nail your look. Note they have an excellent selection of men’s vintage items here.
Big Top Vintage, 3112 Richmond St | A tiny store that packs a punch. They have a kids rack (hooray!), a great selection of vintage numbers, and some upcycled items. Pick up one of your favorite childhood toys after you scored that 60s twin set.
Sweet Peel Vintage, 744 S 4th St | Good fashion and good fun. They often feature bands that play among the racks, pack up goods to put out for pop-ups and have fundraiser photo sessions that give back to the community. They offer everything from 60s mod all the way to early 2000s.
B Bop Vintage, 619 S 4th St | A colorful lil’ corner. Focused on old-school vintage…think colorful printed shirts, chunky wool sweaters, floral dress sets and so on. Complimented with homeware and accessories to complete your fit.
Stickball, 124 N 3rd St | Another effortless shop. They offer a tight selection of clothing. Many have been patched and repaired in a way that adds an uber-stylish air to them. Vintage objects are part of the deal too.
A Wayward Collection 707 S 4th St | A designer-based collection in an elegant, minimalist space. Whether you need the perfect dress for an upcoming event or a stylish, casual look, their collection is flawless. Get inspired by their Instagram or selected pieces in their shop online.

A Mix of Vintage and Everyday
Urban Exchange Project, 1868 Frankford Ave | On many of our lists, and lucky for us, it’s right next to our office. Pick up glitzy, over-the-top event dresses, vintage summer frocks, funny t-shirts, workout clothes, and everyday wear. You’ll truly find something for everyone here, from pricey rare duds to the always-present $5 racks. Keep your eyes peeled on social for their $1 sales!
Another Chance, 404 E Girard Ave | A fun shop where you can find that perfect wedding outfit and all sorts of other outfits of the day. She also has a small assortment of new items, all designed and made by local artists, as well as knick-knacks that will brighten your day. Check out her very active Poshmark closet too!
Trashed Vintage, 262 E Girard Ave | A two min walk down the block, you’ll find Trashed Vintage. Think upcycled and vintage sports lewks and your classic vintage shirts, sweaters, dresses, and bottoms. You can also peruse some nostalgic goodies like dishware, toys, and the like.
Raxx Vintage, 617 Passyunk Ave | Vintage goods from the 50s to Y2K. Find your drug rug and tie-dye as well as your prim-and-proper preppy number. Big stacks of vintage sweaters, jewelry, outerwear, Hawaiian shirts, etc. You name it, they’ve got it.
Second Hand Ranch, 1148 Frankford Ave | A newcomer to town, and a place where you can shop with a drink in hand. A big focus on vintage western wear (think shirts with enamel snaps, fringe jackets, and boots). Prices here reflect they know what they’ve got on the racks, but we always encourage one or two investment pieces in a wardrobe.
Ace Outpost, 749 S 4th St | Such a welcome spot in the neighborhood that’s always buzzing. You can shop vintage, grab coffee, or can simply hang. Shop a large collection of Ts and sweatshirts with favorite sayings or 90s icons (we see you Elmo) and your new fav pre-worn jeans.

More thrift than vintage
The list of fabu thrift stores in Philly could take days to put together. However, these are a few of our “we have to pop in… just to see if my perfect piece is just sitting there waiting for me” spots.
Circle Thrift, 2233 Frankford Ave | Great selection of kids' stuff and averages about a buck a piece. Adults can score big too!
Thunderbird Salvage, 2441 Frankford Ave | When you’ve gone through all the tchotchkes and furniture, take a peek at the packed racks to find a sweet treasure.
Greene Street, 534 South St | We always find something here. They have a great size selection too! Men's and women’s offerings.
2nd Ave, 2000 S Swanson St | It’s so darn big, you just gotta pop in to see if today is going to be your day. Don’t skip the linens section- lots of luck there.
Philly Aids Thrift, 710 S 5th St | Always hopping and offering something for everyone. They often have deals running so read those signs!
Once Worn, 906 N 2nd S | A perfect pop-in spot. They have a stellar dress collection.
Stitch and Story Consignment, 1821 Passyunk Ave | When you need a little something new in your wardrobe, take a peek here.
For the Kids
Gus and Ruby Resale, 1219 Frankford Ave | A kids' clothing joint located in a shared space (we LOVE when that happens!) with Our Mutual Friend, Midsummer Books, and Finger Print Bookshop. They offer sizes newborn to 12 years! Go totally circular and sell your outgrown pieces while you're there!
Lilypad, 1841 Passyunk Ave | Once a pop-up (a massive one at that!), they now reside on Passyunk Ave. Although they don’t specialize in vintage, you can often find an old-time treasure. They still have unconventional hours, so look to their social media for when they’re open. Toys, gear, accessories, and clothing for kiddos up to 12 years of age.

We made a list and checked it twice - local shops, makers, and artists, naughty and nice! PHG is here to help you find gifts for even the most difficult person on your list.
